Another case of a dog head getting stuck in a plastic bottle! Rescued by VSPCA Volunteer team

Yet another case of emergency distress call where a dog head getting stuck in a plastic bottle. The pandemic and the peak summer temperatures made it worse for the street animals to find food and water. It is important for them to be hydrated to beat the heat so they try to find water everywhere even in dangerous places. Unfortunately, some of the dogs end up getting their head getting stuck in the plastic bottles/cans trying to find some water droplets to quench their thirst.

With the lockdown, curfews, and restrictions the daily hustle-bustle of the city life came to a halt making it extremely difficult for them to find food & water and find people who are willing to provide food & water. Even though we arranged water bowls spread around the city through our programme “Project Kittu- Small Water Bowls“, it is not sufficient as there are thousands of street animals across the Visakhapatnam city. We’re trying to increase the number of water bowls, but we need donations from animal lovers like you to help us increase the count.

Our dedicated volunteer team has been attending to distress calls even during this emergency with all the restrictions. The trained volunteered team now is able to handle cases much faster with all the experience they gained rescuing so many animals.
