Sai Ganesh Veeravalli is a young master’s graduate in the field of GIS and Remote sensing for Urban Planning. He encourages sustainable development practices in all forms of development. He has done projects assessing the sustainability and vulnerability of communities in terms of social and environmental aspects and developed interventions that could help communities become more sustainable and less vulnerable.

He is also very interested in spatial analysis, cartography and geo-visualization. He believes maps help us to bring essential insights from the existing data which help solve the problem or give different perspective at looking at the problem. He is passionate about making maps as he believes maps have the ability to convey a story or information in a visually engaging manner. Maps are one of the most powerful tools we have to deliver our knowledge in the most efficient way possible.

This planet earth is not solely for humans but also for the habitat around us because of which we are able to survive. It is high time that we recognize it and start putting our effort into protecting our biodiversity in our own ways of expertise. In this era of a mad race towards fast-paced urbanization, many elements of the delicate habitat system are ignored and putting our future generations in great danger. This little work we do is our contribution towards building a more sustainable, habitat friendly and bio-diverse future.
