- Emergency Appeal to Build Shelter For Desperate Cats
VSPCA receives constant overwhelming pleas to take in cats destined to starve or suffer a bad ending if turned away. We cannot help them unless we have a shelter equipped to provide proper care. Such a structure will cost approximately $22,000 USD and a member has generously agreed to donate half – $11,000 USD – if caring people will match the donation.

This structure will save many cats from unimaginable suffering. Some have never known a day free from hunger, terror, or pain. Out of respect for our sensitive readers’ feelings we shall abstain from graphic descriptions.
Make a donation today to help the cats of Visakhapatnam!
Our plan for the shelter
- A substantial structure built to last fifteen or more years and able to withstand the frequent severe storms in this area.
- Capable of housing 100 cats. It will consist of 5000 square feet, with an isolation room for incoming cats to prevent the spread of possible disease, a recovery area for cats after surgery, a well-equipped kitchen, and a play area. Fortunately, we have secured a contractor whose prior work has received many commendations.
Your donation will be an investment yielding long-term dividends. Please help us make this shelter a reality for cats who are doomed unless we can help them. We thank you and many a kitty will bless your compassion.
