VSPCA receives constant overwhelming pleas to take in cats destined to starve or suffer a bad ending if turned away. We cannot help them unless we have a shelter equipped to provide proper care. Such a structure will cost approximately $22,000 USD and a member has generously agreed to donate half – $11,000 USD – if caring people will match the donation.

An example of what VSPCA saves cats from – being trapped, killed and eaten.

A scene from our current cat shelter – with your help we can care for even more cats!

This structure will save many cats from unimaginable suffering. Some have never known a day free from hunger, terror, or pain. Out of respect for our sensitive readers’ feelings we shall abstain from graphic descriptions.

Make a donation today to help the cats of Visakhapatnam!

Our plan for the shelter

  1. A substantial structure built to last fifteen or more years and able to withstand the frequent severe storms in this area.
  2. Capable of housing 100 cats. It will consist of 5000 square feet, with an isolation room for incoming cats to prevent the spread of possible disease, a recovery area for cats after surgery, a well-equipped kitchen, and a play area. Fortunately, we have secured a contractor whose prior work has received many commendations.

Your donation will be an investment yielding long-term dividends. Please help us make this shelter a reality for cats who are doomed unless we can help them. We thank you and many a kitty will bless your compassion.
