Dear well-wishers and supporters,

117,000 and counting! An integrated movement is recognized!

We are pleased to anmounce that we have reached the milestone of zero new rabies casies for the sixth year! We credit this special achievement to our spay/neuter team who have been plugging away for years, despite the hurdles they faced at every level. As part of our Animal Birth Control Programme for the street dogs we have also been raising awareness and education, and with an increasing number of volunteers and animal lovers, this project is going incredibly well. In this we have been supported and guided by NetAP with both technical implementation and training.

Terrible cruelties in the animal shandies

For the past 3 years, the Cattle Respect Team India has covered animal shandies across three coastal districts - namely Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, and Srikaklulum - to not only create awareness about the rules and laws of cattle transportation, but also fighting the extreme abuses and cruelties and engaging the middle men and mafias to improve the conditions. The animal shandies do not have basic needs such as sheds, medical protocols, water and food. There have been traumatic deliveries of calves at shandies and immense cruelties resulting in fatal injuries and deaths. This year there is some hope of positive changes taking place due a new government order based on AP High Court directions.
