The sea turtle protection report is out!

The Report is Out!

The sea turtle protection for 2019-2020 has seen an increase of nestings the final Tally being 811, 74932 eggs, hatchlings released 64,030. 85% has been the success rate.

We have received 26 nestings more than last year.

Juvenile mothers who walked through 20 years ago are coming in to nest here and hence every season we will continue to see this raise. If conditions are made conducive for them during the nestings we will see much better nestings.

For now we cover 60 kms but would love to cover the rest of 132 kms too .

We are very grateful to the AP Forest Department for their unstinted support and also to NTPC for their assistance.

We are certainly looking for partners to support protection for rest of the 70 km for this Coastline.
