HABITAT LOSS

HABITAT LOSS

The Olive Ridley Sea Turtle season has begun at the coast of Visakha, AP, India.

However, the worst part is that one of the most important sporadic nesting ground in North Coastal A.P. is losing ground for the all-important sea turtle annual nesting due to serious activities that are going to hamper further during this season.

Already there has been a decline in this stretch last year and may go down further if measures to protect the beach for nestings are not addressed immediately.

It definitely would be most important for The Forest Department, to take up this issue before we lose this habitat.

ONCE A HABITAT IS LOST IT IS LOST FOREVER.
